When you drive south towards Albany and take the bridge over Lake Champlain (now being replaced) at Crown Point, there is a back road that cuts a few miles off. On that back road is this defunct farm. I had driven past many times always wanting to stop and photograph it but never had the time. On one trip I did have the time and the weather was perfect for this silhouette just after sunset. Crown Point, New York. March, 2010.

Snowcapped Mansfield in May

How often does Mt. Mansfield get nailed with 16" of snow on Memorial Day weekend? That's exactly what happened this year and then the sun came out for an epic sunset on a snow covered peak with lush green foliage down below. Can you spot the deer in the image? Not far from my house is this wonderful barn that I had driven by many times always thinking that I needed to photograph it. Its situated so the light hits it early in the morning. This shot was taken in early November, 2006.

20111019_gas-2584 Taken near St. Albans, VT on a backroads excursion. This old gas station just begged for its picture to be taken. As it was October, it had to spooky. Handheld, long shutter, manually triggered flash.
