One of the most interesting buildings in Vermont is the Breeding Barn at Shelburne Farms. It is off the main property and requires either local knowledge or luck to find it. It is one of the largest wooden structures in the northeast. It is generally open if you walk in. The floor is dirt but the ceiling is this intricate maze of wood. Go to the north end and look straight up and this is what you will see. You will also see this if you happen to be in the right hotel in Taipei, Taiwan where they have printed this as a mural and put it on the ceiling of several quest rooms. Shelburne, Vermont.
